Biography

Jerome Simas joined the SFS in 2012. Previously a fellow at the New World Symphony, he has held principal clarinet positions with such ensembles as the California, Oakland East Bay, and Akron symphonies. He is a member of San Francisco’s Left Coast Chamber Ensemble. First prize winner of the International Clarinet Society Young Artist Competition and grand prize winner at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, he received degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
