THE SAN FRANCISCO SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES UPDATED SAFETY PROTOCOLS FOR CONCERTS AT DAVIES SYMPHONY HALL

Beginning Thursday, January 20, the SF Symphony will require that all patrons wear N95, KN95, or equivalent face masks while inside Davies Symphony Hall

SAN FRANCISCO, CA—Based on health and safety recommendations from the City and County of San Francisco and due to the transmissibility of the Omicron variant, effective tomorrow, Thursday, January 20, the San Francisco Symphony will begin requiring that all patrons wear a non-vented high-filtration respirator, such as a N95, KN95, KF94, or equivalent face mask while inside Davies Symphony Hall. The Symphony will have a limited number of KN95 or equivalent masks available for patrons that require them.

The new protocol requiring non-vented respirators follows the recent announcement that, beginning February 1, 2022, the San Francisco Symphony will begin requiring proof of a COVID-19 booster—received at least one week prior to each event—for entrance into Davies Symphony Hall. Read the full January 4, 2022, announcement about the Symphony’s COVID-19 booster requirement.

All staff, performers, and volunteers have been required to wear non-vented respirators inside Davies Symphony Hall since Thursday, January 6, 2022.

The San Francisco Symphony’s health and safety protocols are based on recommendations from the San Francisco Department of Public Health. For further details about health and safety protocols at Davies Symphony Hall, visit www.sfsymphony.org/Home/Safety.
