Aaron Schuman
Associate Principal, Peter Pastreich Chair
Aaron Schuman joined the San Francisco Symphony as Associate Principal Trumpet in 2018.
He has also performed with the Boston Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, Houston Grand Opera, Chautauqua Symphony, Sun Valley Music Festival, and Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and has been a guest artist with the Aspen Chamber Symphony and the Colburn School.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Mr. Schuman graduated from Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music, pursued graduate studies at Rice University, and was a Tanglewood Music Center Fellow. His teachers included Charles Geyer, Barbara Butler, Robert Sullivan, and Alex Jokipii. He performs on Bach brand trumpets.
